We are excited to share that Ashley Mckie, our Director of Safety, has been recognized as one of the Top Women in Safety for 2023. Ashley's steadfast commitment to safety and personal growth has been crucial in fostering a safety-first culture in our organization. During her nine-year tenure, she has delivered consistent messaging, established our safety systems, and expanded our safety programs to meet the needs of our growing company. Ashley's proactive, inclusive, patient, and composed approach to educating new employees and collaborating with new managers to implement safety programs has been pivotal in our successful COR certifications in three provinces (BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan)
As Director of Safety for Venturis Capital Corporation, which includes Leavitt Cranes, Leavitt Machinery, and various regional dealerships across Canada and the US, Ashley's responsibilities have expanded significantly in recent years. With operations spanning over 60 branches across six provinces and 14 states, and more than 1,200 employees, she consistently goes above and beyond to provide her team with the support they require. Her colleagues recognize her as someone who genuinely cares about the safety, health, and well-being of everyone within the company and the customers they serve.
Ashley's dedication to personal development is evident from her attainment of her CRSP and CHSC designations, as well as her active engagement in the safety community. She currently serves as the Chair of the Fraser Valley Chapter of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE) and participates annually in the Threads for Life walk to raise funds for families impacted by workplace tragedies. Ashley's contributions to the safety industry have earned her recognition as a top leader in safety for our organization and the industry.
